Understanding email delivery disruptions

Email delivery can be disrupted due to various reasons beyond infrastructure issues. Common causes include incorrect email addresses provided by the user or mail systems being unable to receive incoming messages.

Handling bounced emails

When an email fails to reach its recipient, it is termed as a 'bounce.' For instance, if a Professional Verification request cannot be delivered to a healthcare professional, we notify MARTA staff about this bounce. Such notifications are always sent to the mobilitycertification@itsmarta.com email address.

Resolving bounced professional verification requests

When a Professional Verification request bounces, our team is ready to assist. We can clear the request details, enabling the client to resend the request to the intended healthcare professional. Alternatively, clients have the option to switch to an offline verification method.

Please keep in mind we do not automatically notify clients about the failure of Professional Verification request deliveries.

Recommended actions upon receiving a bounce notification:

  1. Respond to the notification: Reply to the bounce notification email to confirm if our team should clear the Professional Verification request details, allowing for a resend.
  2. Inform the client: Contact the client to inform them about the issue. Explain that we will reset the request details, enabling them to resend the request to their healthcare provider.
  3. Client notification: The client will be notified once the Professional Verification request is ready to be resent.
